Caltrans will begin improvements to the interchange and frontage roads in Fall 2011 along the Santa Ana Freeway (I-5) at Carmenita Road, from north of Alondra Boulevard to Shoemaker Avenue in Norwalk and La Mirada. This project will include removal of the existing two-lane steel structure, construction of a new ten-lane concrete structure with tight diamond ramps and the improvement of the frontage roads. The project investment is $380 million and it is expected to be completed in early 2015.
