San Fernando Road to Lake Hughes Road Undercrossing

Caltrans will begin mid 2014 replacing the pavement along the Golden State Freeway (I-5) between San Fernando Road and the Lake Hughes Road undercrossing in Castaic. This improvement will extend the life of the road, lessen the need for maintenance and related costs and provide a smoother riding surface. The project investment is $75 million and construction is expected to be completed in late 2015.

Caltrans has a multi-faceted public outreach program in place to inform the community of the construction effort.
