Valley View Avenue Interchange

Caltrans will begin construction on a High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) or carpool lane, and one mixed-flow lane in each direction for vehicles with two or more passengers in mid-2013 along approximately one mile of the Santa Ana Freeway (I-5) at Valley View Avenue, from Artesia Boulevard to the Coyote Creek overcrossing in La Mirada. Two structures will be reconstructed: Valley View Avenue overcrossing and the Coyote Creek Bridge. In addition, there will be significant improvements to the interchange at Valley View Avenue at Artesia Boulevard and reconstruction of the adjacent frontage roads. The project investment is $416 million and is expected to be completed in early 2016.

Caltrans is committed to keep the public informed about each stage of construction. Notices of community meetings and updated construction advisories will be posted on this website periodically. Thank you for your patience. For more information, please call toll-free (855) 454-6335.
